Shahi Soya Korma

Description:-

Korma is a dish originating in the Indian subcontinent consisting of meat or vegetables with yogurt or cream, water or stock and spices to produce a thick sauce or gravy. Korma has its roots in the Mughlai cuisine of the Indian subcontinent.

Here I have made my version of korma, which can be consumed by Vegetarians and Non-vegetarians both.

Ingredients

Soya chunks, Sliced onions, Coconut, Green chilli, Coriander, Cashewnuts, Bayleaf, Peppercorns, Cloves, Star anise, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Garam Masala Powder, Yogurt, Oil, Salt to taste, Fried Onions.

Method

1. Firstly, Soak the Soyachunks in Hot water for 1 hour.

2. Take a pan and heat the oil to medium flame. Put the sliced onions, shredded coconut, green chilli, soaked cashewnuts and Saute well for 6-7 minutes.

3. Let it cool then make a fine puree adding some coriander and water in it.

4. Take a saucepan, heat the oil and put whole garam masala in it. Then add ginger-garlic paste. Saute for 2-3 minutes.

5. Put the Puree mixture in the saucepan and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then add the soaked soyachunks in the masala. Mix it well.

6. Then put the yogurt in masala and close the pan with the Top for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove the Top and add garam masala.

7. Finally garnish it with Fried Onions and Chopped Coriander.

And you can have it with Chapati or Rice.
