Chicken Cafreal Recipe

 




Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 kg chicken

Ginger-Garlic Paste

2 tbsp oil

Salt to taste

2 tbsp vinegar

For the marination:-

100 gms coriander leaves

2 green chillies

1 tbsp coriander seeds

half cinnamon stick

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1/2 tsp black peppercorn 

5 green cardamom

5 cloves


Method 

1. Marinate chicken with ginger-garlic paste and set aside. Add the marination ingredients to a blender and a smooth paste with little water.

2. Add the paste to the chicken pieces and coat well. Marinate for 2-3 hours or preferably overnight.

3. In the sauce pan heat the oil to a medium heat. Add the marinated chicken along with any leftover marinade. Seal the chicken pieces stirring often for 5 minutes making sure to scrape the marinade if it sticks to the bottom of the sauce pan.

4. Now turn the heat to a low setting and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir a few times through a cooking process. Add little water only if it gets too dry.

5. Season to taste and add vinegar. Cook for more 5 minutes. Turn the heat off and serve with bread roll and salad.
